A Licensed General Contractor Who Runs Every Job Personally

I've been doing residential construction work in Sonoma County and across the North Bay for 25 years. I started JCW General Construction to do the work the way I believed it should be done and to build something my family could be proud of.

I hold a California General Contractor license (#1133241) and handle a full scope of residential trade work: remodeling, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and concrete. Every project, regardless of size, is managed by me directly, from the first estimate through the final walkthrough.

I serve homeowners across Sonoma and Marin County, the East Bay, and the Fairfield, Vallejo corridor.

Why JCW Exists

I started JCW because I watched the contracting industry treat homeowners poorly and decided not to be part of it.

I'd seen how it went: a contractor wins the bid, hands the job to a crew, and becomes unreachable. Costs shift without explanation. The homeowner follows up more than they should have to. The work gets done, sometimes, but the experience is one they'd rather not repeat.

That's not how I operate. I approach every job the way I'd approach work on my own home, because the standard I hold myself to doesn't change based on whose name is on the deed.

That principle isn't a positioning statement. It's why this business exists.

I've also done free work for people in the community who needed it. Not as a marketing decision, as a reflection of how I think about the work and the people it's done for.

How Every JCW Project Runs

Working with me looks the same on every job, whether it's a bathroom remodel or a multi-trade addition.

I listen before I propose anything
The first conversation is about understanding what you actually need, not moving toward a sale.

I tell you what things cost, including the parts that are hard to predict
I scope for what I can see and flag what I can't. You won't open an invoice and see a number you've never discussed.

I manage the full scope not just my portion of it
One point of accountability. No gaps between trades. No passing the buck when something doesn't line up.

I stand behind the work when it's done
I do a final walkthrough on every job. If something isn't right, it gets addressed, not explained away.

The work was performed professionally, and he explained everything that was going on very clearly. He's also a very nice man that's easy to work with. I will definitely recommend him to anyone I know that's looking for a qualified electrician and will surely seek his services again if a situation arises.
